As part of our pre-departure blog posts, we had to take a New York Times quiz to determine what our personal vocabularies say they way we speak. In my results, I got Scottsdale, Arizona, Overland Park, Kansas, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have no idea where it got the more southern cities, but it was correct when it chose Pittsburgh because I have lived there for 21 years. I'm pretty sure it chose as one of my cities Pittsburgh because I selected "yinz" as the answer to one of the questions on the quiz.
For study abroad, I will be travelling to Angers, France in the beginning of February. I have included a photo of Chateau D'Angers, a 15th century chapel that I am excited to have found with a quick google image search because I remember it from my last trip to France. Medieval history and architecture have always been interesting to me, so I cannot wait to explore all of the sites Angers has to offer!
